The Saskatchewan Arts Board is accepting nominations of artists and arts professionals for an open position on our Board of Directors.

The Arts Board is a Crown Agency that provides grants, programs, and services to individuals and groups whose activities have an impact on the arts in Saskatchewan and ensure that opportunities exist for Saskatchewan residents to experience all art forms.

Appointed by the Lieutenant Governor in Council for a two-year term, the board member will have a substantial track record and proven leadership in the arts in Saskatchewan as a volunteer, artist, educator, businessperson or administrator.

In accordance with The Arts Board Act, 1997, one-third the members of the board of directors shall be appointed from a list of nominees provided by the arts community. This call for nominations is open to all to members of that community with a particular interest in those with strong backgrounds in the professional literary, media or performing arts.

Candidates may nominate themselves or be nominated by others. Candidates short-listed and recommended for consideration must agree to participate in a Criminal Records Check. Please note that having a criminal record does not necessarily preculde participation on the board. An expression of interest form is available below.
